After seven years at the helm of Hydrogen Mem-Tech, Thomas Reinertsen steps down. Hanne Martinussen is the company’s new CEO.

Martinussen has been promoted from her position as Chief Operating Officer at Hydrogen Mem-Tech. Thomas Reinertsen will take on a new challenge as CEO of the family-owned company Reinertsen New Energy. 

"I am delighted that Hanne has agreed to take over as CEO of Hydrogen Mem-Tech. She is highly competent, has an in-depth understanding of our product and manufacturing processes from her role as COO, and is a fantastic ambassador for our company," says Thomas Reinertsen. 

Reinertsen will join the board of Hydrogen Mem-Tech to ensure continuity in the company’s development and support further financing efforts.  

"On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Thomas for his contributions. We are pleased that Hanne will now lead the company in line with our strategy," says Chairman of the Board, Thor Egil Five.  

Hydrogen Mem-Tech offers a unique separation technology for extracting hydrogen from gas mixtures for various applications. The company is backed by major international investors and is headquartered in Trondheim.

  • Born in Verdal, Norway.
  • Earned a PhD in electro-optics in 2009.  
  • 15 years of industrial experience, primarily in oil and gas.  
  • Expertise in testing, R&D, product development, and product management.  
  • Project leadership for cross-functional teams.  
  • Responsible for developing production processes and improving efficiency.  
  • Commercial experience with a strong customer focus.  
  • Sales and contract negotiations with international experience at BP and Woodside/Technip FMC.  
  • Extensive operational experience as COO.  
  • Lectures 300 students in electromagnetism at NTNU.
